This was BY FAR one of my favorite books of the year. I truly love everything about an action packed romance and this one had every single element in it! Kat was ferocious and so bad a$$!!! Then bring in Hunter and woah do you have a combo!
There were so many layers to this story. From Kat/Caitlin and her family to the person she became present day; to the depth of the Dixie Mafia and the insane plot twists that came with them. Between Kat and Jon we got one heck of a story! These two had both been through so much, especially Kat, and they were out for revenge. Within all of this there was a lot of gruesome parts, kick a$$ parts and a good bit of sadness. One of my favorite parts of all of this was that there was romance, but it definitely took a back seat.
I have no clue how to put into words how much I loved this book. I love how Kat did so much training to take back her life and revenge her family! And then with Jon he became this totally opposite person who was just as willing to do what he needed to for revenge. It was all just so perfect!
I don’t know if RC has more books like this out there but I’m definitely going to go hunting for them!!
