Rules For American Roulette

When it comes to the game of American Roulette, there are a number of rules that one must abide by. The rules that apply to playing the game can differ from one casino to another, but the basic principle is to follow a certain set of guidelines when playing.

After the wheel has been spun at the roulette table, the person at the table (called the ‘better’) chooses one of two cards and then puts the ball through the slot on the table. If the ball lands in one of the two designated positions, the bettor must pay the full amount – that is, the entire bet amount. If the ball lands in the opposite position, the bettor must discard one card.

If the ball falls into the designated or ‘No-Limit’ position, the bettor must pay the money to the table with equal bets placed on the table. However, there are two exceptions to this rule. One is that if the ball falls into the ‘No-Limit’ position during the spin, it is considered a ‘full house’ and no payout is possible. This is so the card being discarded will be able to cover the hole.

The other exception to the ‘No-Limit’ position occurs during the spinning of the roulette wheel, where the player may choose which slot the ball will land in. This is done through the use of a random number generator, and the player may select between the No-Limit or Full House slot.

Once the point range has been reached, and no money has been bet on a particular table, the game proceeds to the next table. If the ball falls in the designated or ‘No-Limit’ slot, the bettor must pay the entire money bet.

Following this process, the play continues until all the points have been claimed or till one player has claimed all the points. The person at the table that has claimed all the points wins the game.
