Hello my loves, how have all of you been? I, for one, cannot wait for this week to be over. It’s been winter all over again in Ohio and PA. How about where you are? They keep saying its the 109th day of winter in 2018! I’m over the white stuff, especially since it was 80 degrees on Saturday. ANYWHO for February, I went to the library!!! I usually only get to do this once or twice a year, and usually only end up listening to the audio books. Since I had some time I decided to catch up on my Anita Blake and Stephanie Plum books. (You see that diversity right there?😉 ). Make sure to check those out at the end and I put buy links this time!!!
I loved this book so hard!!! Jack and Margot were both so amazing! They were both super stubborn, head strong people, but they both loved so hard! These two hard headed individuals were so perfect for each other. I loved the bickering and fighting between them, I also loved the relationships with the different family members and friends. I constantly found myself laughing or smiling. I enjoyed this book sooo much!!!! The audio was FANTASTIC! Rob and Renee were wonderful!
Bad Wolf by Jo Raven
This family has been so amazing. I’ve loved Gigi throughout all of the other books, but this gives her a whole new light. Gigi and Rett are so awesome!
Jarett has so much going on in his life and he’s so serious about it. The poor guy is really letting his past get the best of him. But then comes Gigi and she doesn’t know how to say no. That is what I love about her. She knows what is right and isn’t going to give up until she’s done what she can. With Jarett that was especially true. She couldn’t stop seeing him, just as much as he couldn’t stop letting her in. When it came to the issues with his gang, his brother, his mother, when he was with Gigi he let it fall away.
There were so many things about his past that kept holding him back and I was so happy that Gigi helped him see the light. Her and her family are so amazing, especially Merc. He really helped her take Jarett under her wing, when he could have been that protective brother who said no. This family is so special and was exactly what Jarett needed. Despite all of the bad, they were all there for him through his whole journey. I love how Jo does this, she was so good at making this tight knit group. Rett was so lucky to have found Gigi.
I can’t wait to see what Jo comes up with next and I really hope we get to see more of these two
Bad Son (Prequel to Bad Wolf) by Jo Raven
I LOVED getting to see this side of GiGi and Rett!!! I was so curious about their former life together and I finally got some closure!
by K Webster and JD Hollyfield
This book was too darn cute!!! Dani and Ram were so awesome. I love how a complete stranger was able to help Dani through her crazy break up and that he ended up being such a great guy! These two were just so perfect for each other and helped each other out of a hard time. I can’t wait to read the others!
Interlude (Interlude Duet #2) By Auden Dar
So the beginning of my review for Prelude started with the feelings I felt about the book. Not a whole lot has changed with Interlude. I still felt Interlude was: Amazing, heart broking devastating, and I definitely thought the book was beautiful. This time I get to add: Relieved, whole, lost and found. I’m sure there’s so many more, but that’s what first came to mind.
I have such a beautiful relationship with Auden and I got to talk to her throughout the whole time I read this book. It was great to be able to talk about how I felt, but I also wrote about it to. Every reaction I had or an amazing quote, I wrote it down. That’s what this book inspired me to do, write. I couldn’t wait to write this review, so I’m writing it only half an hour after finishing the book.
Lina and Julian ended up being characters that were so whole, complete, and so unexpected. When I finished Prelude I was so disappointed in Julian, and in Andrew. I was left completely at ease with this book. Now, that doesn’t mean there weren’t many times where I was so upset I couldn’t see straight. There were many of those moments, but there were so many more beautiful moments. Having been left devastated at the end of Prelude I couldn’t wait to read what was going to happen next. Lina was hurting so bad, and even though she didn’t think it, she was so strong! She left a life she was comfortable with, to start a life that she wanted. That takes so much bravery! She grew so much in this book, and I loved the character that she had become. She was such an inspiring woman.
And Julian, oh Julian. I couldn’t believe he just up and left. Having read Interlude I get it now. It took me a long time, but I get it. The love and devotion he has for Lina is spectacular. It’s what every single woman has always wanted from a man. He may have had some bumps along the way, and being the typical man, he didn’t speak his feelings like he should have. But, overall, I’m so happy with how he developed. I loved him in Prelude, although disappointed, I loved him even more in Interlude.
Then there is Andrew. I didn’t even talk about him in my last review, that’s how little I thought of him. Getting to see a new perspective of him in this book makes me so sad for him. I don’t want to give too much away, because I desperately want you to read this book, but you will understand him a lot better.
This entire book was just so amazing and beautiful. It was haunting and devastating. It was everything. It was perfect. Auden, you are such an amazing writer, I can’t wait to see what else you write ❤
by Lex Martin
This is definitely one of my favorite books so far this year! I’ve never read anything by Lex Martin and it makes me so sad I waited so long!!
I love the story of Tori and how she’s trying to turn her life around. And then we have Ethan, who just wants a new normal for his family. Really it was just so perfect the two of them!! I love how great Tori is with her his kids, she’s just so natural. She knows just when not help them and how. I was also so surprised at Ethan, how much he really wanted Tori to be a part of their every day lives. And then we have Logan, oh how I love Logan. He’s the PIA brother who sometimes helps and sometimes makes things worse. He’s just the best. There were so many good twists in this story. Allison as an ex was someone who I was so frustrated with, and Jamie was just ridiculous. These two really made the story so much more interesting and really kept us on our toes.
Then we have the end of this book. It is just so amazing and really complete. That’s the best part about a good epilogue! I love when we really feel like the story is complete. Of course I feel like almost every book can go on, but this one had a pretty amazing ending! I’m sure there’s so much more I can say, but I don’t want to give it away =]
by Laurell K Hamilton
I truly love the Anita Blake series. I am a little disappointed this time around though. We got a lot more of her personal life than her vampire hunter life. I still have it 4 Stars because it was still amazing though! Her life is so complicated, but that makes it so unique!
by Janet Evanovich
I am so sad I waited so long to read this book. This series has always been one of my favorites. I loved this book sooo much. We got the perfect amount of Ranger, Grandma, Lula and Morelli. I love when we get to see a lot of Range, and I really love his attraction to Stephanie. These two are like oil and water, it’s just so perfect! I also really liked how this book had a good bit more of “detective” work in it for Stephanie, it’s always more fun that way. Can’t wait to read the next one!

I loved this book so much!!! I LOVED How much we got to see Ranger and we got to see the return of Diesel. This was so much fun!
