Book Chat: Dominic (Cerberus MC #4)

Hello my loves!!! I’m sorry it’s been so long but life seemed to get in the way again. I’m so excited to talk a little more in depth about Dominic. It’s the 4th book in Marie James Cerberus MC Series. As usual, I’ll start with the blurb and then go into my thoughts ♥

Synopsis:

Dominic Anderson knows exactly what he wants in life: simplicity, safety, and solidarity with his brothers. He’s vowed to spend each day living his life exactly how he chooses since the day his wife betrayed him and his four-year military career turned into twenty.

Returning home after retirement from the Marines, he’s traded the sand in the Middle East for that of the New Mexico desert, Humvees for a motorcycle, and the comradery of men in uniform for the occasional woman at his feet.

Life was perfect until Makayla “Poison” Evans, Renegade MC Princess, knocked on his door, bruises on her face, neck, and arms, and no money to pay the cab driver. Pink hair, perfect body, and a mouth that Dom yearned to teach a million lessons, Mak asks more from him than he’s conceded to a woman in decades.

She needs his help, his protection, and against his better judgment, she expects him to keep her secrets. Only her secrets are deadly, dangerous, and have the potential to start a war between two MCs.

At what point does safeguarding a woman become a betrayal to the men Dominic calls his family? More importantly, can he get back the sanctity of his home once Makayla is no longer in the picture, or will he be forever tainted by her poison?

My Review:

Oh where to begin??? I have loved EVERY minute of this MC Series. Dominic, to me, was in a league of it’s own. It was a little different than the others in the series, but it had all of the amazing qualities of all of the other books. Right now, this has been my favorite of the series so far! There was not one thing I did not love about this book!

I loved how dominant Dominic was and how strong Makayla was; The two of them were such amazing characters. We’d seen very little of Dominic, but heard so much from others on how great he was. We really got to see why everyone thought he was so wonderful from the very beginning of this book. And Makayla, the things she had to endure before meeting Dom, it makes you shudder. They bother overcame a lot in this book! Can’t wait to see more of them in the future!

The other characters from the other books, I love how we always get to see the progression of their relationships throughout these books. This one had a SUPER special moment for Kincaid and Dom, and it was so special.

I can’t wait for more ❤

Dominic

Dominic: Oh Dominic, he’s always been this illusive person. We always knew that he was in the military, but new very little of him. Two things we did know: his men cared for him and he has this serene home that everyone helps take care of. I’d always been so interested in him, and was really excited when we got to see some of him in Shadow when he came home. Per the usual with the MC men, Dominic is very Alpha Male, maybe even more so than the rest. He is also is VERY dominant, which I love!!! We’ve seen the alpha men and how they crumble, but none of them were as dominant as Dom. I loved that he really did let himself go with Mkayla, even though he had her reservations. Then we have his feelings for Makayla. I love how he took her in without really knowing what he was getting himself into. He is such a good man in that way!!

Makayla: Makayla isn’t someone we knew before now, there might have been mention of rival MC’s, but I don’t remember hearing about her specifically. From the moment I learned about her past I felt so sorry for her, but she’s so brave! She did so much to pick up the cards she’d been dealt with and she did even more to help her sister. I was happy that she decided to go to Dom, even if it wasn’t the best thing for him. All of the Cerberus men are so valiant, any of them would have helped her, but Dom seemed the perfect fit. He didn’t treat her like she was fragile, which is exactly what she needed.

Chemistry: The chemistry between these two was amazing! From the moment he laid eyes on her, we knew that there was something between them. They reallllly knew how to steam up a scene, especially when she let her dominate him. I was really mad though, that Dom decided to ease back. Per the typical man, he didn’t really think everything through.

Family: I love how much family was a part of this book. We got to see more of the inner workings of the MC, as well as Dom and Kincaid’s interactions as brothers. To see Kincaid become a father and how these men became puddles to these babies, it was so special! I can’t wait to see more of their workings as a family, it’s so adorable! These men and women are all so close, they are the best definition of family.

Overall: I don’t know what else I can say, other than I completely adored this book! I knew I’d like Dom, but I think he’s one of my favorites so far. I really love how these Alpha men fall to their knees for these women. We get just enough of the rough and gruff, as well as the sexy, steamy scenes. Marie is so good at balancing all of the different emotions and making sure we don’t get too much of anything. She likes to keep it interesting!! I CANNOT wait until the next book in this series!!!!
