Ramblings and Reviews 2.20

Happy President’s Day Everyone!!! I work in the retail world so that means a SUPER busy day at work. Are you ready for part 2 to my ramblings? Let’s keep going ♥

~~♥~~ ARCs Part 2 ~~♥~~

One of the hottest books I’ve read so far this year!
Candy Ever After (Hot Candy#2) Jo Raven

I really, really liked Candy Boys, so I was really excited to see where Jo took us with their Ever After! There were a few things unanswered in the last book that finally got answered and some fears between the trio. There were also some great blooming romances. It’s everything I could have asked for in a sequel!

Once Upon A [Stolen] Time by Samreen Ahsan

I wasn’t really sure how I would like this because I hadn’t read anything medieval related, this was so different. I absolutely love how she combined today and then; it merged so seamlessly that you weren’t actually sure where you were reading and what time. Edwards tale was so sad and so was Myra’s. They both needed set free so badly. I was truly enchanted by this book and I cannot wait to read the next book!

hunterWhen Hunter Meets Seeker by Betty Shreffler

I have been itching for a good PNR Book and this one was so good!!!

Anya is so unique, she’s a tough chick and she knows what she wants. She wants to do what she feels is right and its so admirable. When she meets Dex I love the change her in. I love how she’s not afraid to stand up on her own and be one of the guys. Jackson is such a good friend of hers too, he’s such a great supportive character in this story!

Dex, he’s such an alpha type. He helps her realize her true potential and he’s the best for it. His role in this book is so important and he’s the best.

I can’t wait to see what else comes from this!

code-nameThis next book really plays a special place in my heart. I have a family that has been very involved in the military throughout the years and there are certain topics I’ve sometimes stayed away from because they hit a little close to home. This one hit close to home but was so moving. I have to admit though, I cried during at least 50% of this book!

Code Name: Forever & Ever (A Warrior’s Challenge #5)

If it were possible to give a book 6 stars i totally would for this book! Everything about this book was so special, Natasza made me cherish ever since word and ever single emotion. I sobbed so many times throughout this book and there were times where i really wanted to just smack Pat in his face and come to his senses. I felt so many emotions and it was the best kind of roller coaster. I can’t wait to read the rest of this series, I hope their stories are just as good as Pat and Marg’s ❤

good-boyGood Boy (WAGs #1) by Sarina Bowen and Elle Kennedy

I knew at the end of reading HIM that I was instantly hooked to Sarina and Elle writing together. Then US Came along and it was that much more captivating. I was really excited to see if they would go anywhere with Blake and man am I glad they did! Everything about this was so great!

From the moment Jess seethes about Blake I knew I was going to absolutely adore this book. I love when couples are just so dumb and don’t realize how perfect they are for each other. This was 100% The two of them! I loved everything about them, from the way Blake talks and his funny little sayings. And i loved that we got to see more of Jamie and Wes and their interactions with Blake and the team. I can’t wait for the next book!!!

The Legend of the Fallen Kingdom by Mikel Wilson and Shery Gist

I really liked this book a lot! I liked the time setting the story took place in, it’s a time before i would of thought of werewolves and vampires. There’s always been stories of sorcerer and witches, but we never really get vampire and werewolves from the 1200s. The settings were so great, and the details of the characters and their surrounds was really well done. Alexander exceeded all of my expectations, and I loved everything about Jaclyn. The added bonus of Merlin, a character that is common in a tale of this century, is a really nice added bonus! I’m excited to read more from Mikel and Sherry!

Fake Fiance by Ilsa Madden-Mills

As always Ilsa has outdone herself!!! Friends to lovers is one of my favorite types of books, especially when both involved really put up a fight. It just seems so much more genuine because it is a built up sort of love, not an instant love. Everything about these characters really drew me in. I loved the back story of both of them and how fate had its play. Max and Sunny are a breath of fresh air. Sunny isn’t some girl who fangirls and wants to be a groupie and Max isn’t the typical jock. I love how she incorporated the game and it was truly a part of the book, not just what the characters are involved in. Can’t wait for more from her ❤

Ya’ll know my love for Carrie Ann Ryan, This was one I’m super excited about! She has another book releasing this month, I can’t wait!

Love, Honor, and Ink (Montgomery Ink #6.6) by Carrie Ann Ryan

I really love the Montgomery Ink series, but it was great to see a side character get his own story! We just recently met Harper and I’m so in love with him after this! I love that him and Adrianna have the connection that they do and that they’ve known each other for so long. This was such a great quick, pick up me up love story ❤

Worthy of Harmony (Mountains & Men #1) by R.C. Martin

Reading book 1 I completely fell in love with Millie and Sage, reading book 2 I fell EVEN HARDER!!! Millie is so shy to letting someone love her and she doesn’t want to let someone in, and it’s so frustrating!!! There were so many times that I wanted to smack her upside the head and say JUST LET IT HAPPEN! And Sage, he’s so patient and just loves so hard! I really hope to have someone love me like Sage loves Millie, it’s just so sweet. I can’t wait to read more, I bought the next two books after finishing ❤

Another GREAT Paranormal book coming up. I read this in only a few hours and CANNOT WAIT for Danielle to release book 2!!!!

To Trust a Wolf (Unnatural Alliances #1) by Danielle Hardgrave

I loved everything about this book. I genuinely loved the plot of this and how it involved a museum. I love museum type movies and shows, so this really pulled my attention in. I also love how it’s paranormal but not over the top. I CANNOT WAIT to read more!!!

~~♥~~ Personal Reads~~♥~~

Sadly I only have two of these. This is why I’m going to stop taking on so many ARCs. These are book I’ve read in my reading group, they were all so good!

As much as I’m not a fan of politics, I love tv shows involving them. I’ve watched every episode of the West Wing and I’ve always loved political movies too. This first one had a queenpolitical background and was sooo good! The next book comes in in March and I’m really looking forward to it! This was definitely one of my favorites!

America Queen (American Queen Trilogy #1) by Sierra Simone

I enjoyed this book so much!!! I love how it incorporated just enough politics to make it interesting too! The story of Ash and Greer was so endearing! At the beginning I was wondering about Greer and how she ended up living her life and how Ash might play in. There were so many things that I didn’t expect throughout this, especially with how they were connected. And everything combined with Embry, it was all just so good! There were so many layers to this story and secrets. Every single part really sucks you in. You turn a corner and learn something new and you just can’t wait until you get the next piece of info or wonder what Greer, Ash, or Embry will do or think next. So many pieces to the puzzle and some questions left unanswered.

This last one was another emotional rollercoaster, but I loved EVERY SINGLE minute of it! This was definitely one of my favorites of the year also.

Life.jpgDear Life by Meghan Quinn

Where to even start to describe my love for this book. For the first 10% I sobbed. Each of the characters have such a great story and two of them were so darn sad. The characters are so different and have such unique pasts, I was so curious as to how they would relate.

The Dear Life program and the letters were such a interesting concept and one that I wasn’t sure how might play out in this story, but it was related and was woven into their story so seamlessly. I was constantly wondering how the program would guide the characters or if it would do anything at all. The growth amongst the characters and their revelations are so intoxicating. Throughout the whole book you just can’t wait to read more and see what be next. I found myself constantly wondering what the next letter will be about and what they might write.

Thank you Meghan for writing such a heartfelt story, every single emotion emitted was felt bone deep in this one

I hope you all have a great week!!!  Hopefully I can come back and ramble in a few weeks with some more goodies ❤
